Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of burloakpainting.com and the services we provide. By engaging Burloak Painting & Renovation or using this website, you agree to these terms.

1. Estimates & Quotes

All on-site estimates are free. Written quotes are valid for 60 days from issuance. Pricing is based on the scope discussed; substantive scope changes may require a revised quote.

2. Scheduling

Project start dates are confirmed by mutual agreement. We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather (exterior work), supply issues, or safety conditions, and will give as much notice as possible.

3. Payment Terms

Residential projects: 30% deposit on start, balance on completion after walk-through. Commercial: progress invoicing per project agreement. We accept e-transfer, cheque, and major credit cards. Late payments accrue interest at 1.5% per month.

4. Workmanship Warranty

Every project includes a written workmanship warranty. If a finish fails due to our application (peeling, blistering, premature wear of properly maintained surfaces) we will return and remediate at no cost. The warranty does not cover damage from impact, water intrusion, structural movement, or normal wear.

5. Materials Warranty

Paint and coating materials carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically Benjamin Moore / Sherwin-Williams). We will assist with any manufacturer claim arising from product defect.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide reasonable site access during scheduled work hours, ensure utilities (water, electricity) are available, and remove or secure valuables prior to work commencing. We will protect everything we can, but ask clients not to leave high-value items in active work zones.

7. Liability & Insurance

Burloak Painting & Renovation carries $5M general liability insurance and 100% WSIB coverage. Certificates available on request. Liability for any single incident is limited to the contract value.

8. Cancellation

Clients may cancel without penalty at any time prior to material purchase. After material purchase or work commencement, reasonable cancellation fees apply, covering materials and labour incurred to date.

9. Site Photography

We may take before/after photos of completed projects for portfolio use, with all identifying details (address, family items, etc.) excluded. Clients may opt out in writing.

10. Website Use

This website is provided as-is for informational purposes. Content is © Burloak Painting & Renovation. Project photos are © the company or its clients. Copying, redistribution, or commercial use requires written permission.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Halton Region.
